The Bedanne’s Cup in Normandie, France was held in December 2017. I was hired to do all of the video production. This included shooting on the water, with a drone and from land, doing interviews with sailors and staff, and then editing it all into a highlights video at the end of the day. I managed to produce one “dock walk” video in the morning where we interviewed the sailors about what they thought about the current conditions as well as an interview video with one of the umpires. After that I went out on the waters and filmed the racing to later come back in to shore to edit and shoot some drone footage.
It’s undoubtedly incredibly hard work but it’s insanely fun. Doing it all does of course have it’s positive sides too since it allows you to have an idea in mind, shoot it and then edit it without anyone trying to change it too much. Ups and downs, smiles and frowns!
The videos were posted to the WIM Series Facebook. But all videos we produced can also be found here: https://www.youtube.com/user/WIMRSeries/videos?sort=dd&shelf_id=0&view=0
